„Aufheben“ is the title of a small collection of short stories and essays. In close collaboration with Hannah Klein and Vincent Sauer, we have designed and co-published the work of eight authors and one photographer. The design of „Aufheben“ was established in an echo of Ulrich Harsch’s design of the former „alternative zeitschrift“. The design concept of „Aufheben“ is obliged to the idea of affordability and limited resources. Both are reflected in the use of material but also in the visible reference to the production costs at the back of the magazine.
